RIP Rick Rypien

James Mirtle was the first I saw who reported, on Twitter, that former Canuck Rick Rypien was found dead in his home tonight. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but there is suspicion that the death was a suicide. He was only 27 years old.

I'm not going to speculate. I'm just going to offer up my most heartfelt apologies to Rypien's family, as well as the Canucks organization and the Winnipeg Jets (whom he had signed with earlier in the offseason). Whatever the circumstances may be, this is a terrible loss for the hockey world, and one of someone far too young to go.
